Product description

A TENACIOUS, FLEXIBLE BOND FOR YOUR RV ROOF

New! Lippert Components is now the exclusive distributor of Alpha Systems, LLC products.

For effective bonding of your roof to your RV, get the Alpha Systems 8011 Adhesive. This is a water-based formula designed to provide a tenacious bond in fully adhered, singly ply roofing applications. Once it cures, it stays flexible allowing for expansion and contraction of the attached roofing membrane. With a moderate dry time, itā€™s best for cases where a short dry time isnā€™t necessary.

Application is straightforward and can be done in a variety of ways ā€” by spray, roll coating, or brush. Whatever method you choose, apply the adhesive to both surfaces, apply to the decking, then roll or broom down the application area to eliminate bubbles and ensure total bonding.

8011 ADHESIVE FEATURES:

  • MEDIUM DRYING TIME ā€” Alpha Systems 8011 Adhesive has a moderate dry time, best suited for applications where you donā€™t need a rapid solution.
  • FLEXIBLE ā€” Flexibility is important in your adhesive, so that the roof membrane can expand and contract even after itā€™s attached to the roof.
  • TENACIOUS BOND ā€” Bonding surfaces include EPDM, TPO, PVC, and Hypalon membranes; as well as wood, plywood, fiberboard, polyisocyanurate, gypsum, and concrete decking substrates.
  • SAFE, ZERO ODOR ā€” This very low VOC, odorless adhesive has no special safety requirements for application.
  • DISCLAIMER ā€” Alpha Systems, LLC retains the right to deny liability for any defects or damages to the roof membrane caused by another manufacturerā€™s products such as sealants, adhesives, tapes or related products.

APPLICATION INFO:

  • ALPHA 8011 may be applied by spray, roll coating, or by brush
  • For spray applications, an Aro 650095 4.25 inch air motor with a 30:1 ratio pump at 80 PSI is recommended. A 651-500 gun equipped with #651551 quick clean and spray tip #T.C. 1565 with 0.015 orifice should also be used
  • For maximum bond strength, apply ALPHA 8011 to both surfaces. If one surface is porous, it is acceptable to wet laminate the membrane to the substrate. If both surfaces are non- porous, apply adhesive to both surfaces at 4-5 mils and allow 20-30 minutes to dry; the adhesive will turn from white to clear
  • The membrane can then be applied to the decking
  • Roll or broom down the application area to eliminate bubbles and ensure 100% bonding between surfaces
