Living the RV life has its challenges, but with apps, most tasks don’t have to be complicated and daunting. The world is at your fingertips when you have a smartphone in hand, loaded with the best apps for RVers.
We recently asked the Lippert Scouts to recommend the smartphone apps they can’t live without. They named 79 of their favorite apps for RVing, with 20 of them making their way to the top of the list based on popularity.
These are the best RV mobile apps recommended by our Scouts, AKA real RVers, ranked from least to most used.
20. CoPilot® GPS Navigation by Trimble Maps LTD

CoPilot is more than just a navigation app. It’s built specifically for travelers who are always on the road. To take the stress out of your trip, CoPilot will calculate an RV-specific route based on your size and class, so you can say goodbye to restricted roads and low-hanging bridges.
Other features include offline navigation to avoid spotty cell signals, an on-screen lane arrow for safe maneuvering, and a search function that allows you to discover the campgrounds, gas stations and restaurants around you.

You can also filter the trails in the app if you’re looking for picturesque views or paths that will accommodate kids and pets.

Looking for a new spot to camp? The Dyrt app allows users with a basic account to access over a million campground reviews from previous campers. It will also connect you with other campers for advice on where to stay and tips to make your experience the best it can be.
With a PRO membership, you’ll gain access to the Trip Planner tool, which allows you to choose your route, camping style and driving preferences to find the best campgrounds for you and your family. You’ll also be able to use the Map Layers feature to explore public land areas that allow dispersed camping, or camping outside of a designated campground. Lastly, with PRO, you will never lose a connection due to the Offline Search function, so you can always stay connected to your saved trips and downloaded maps.

The app was created by National Park Service staff to give you a comprehensive view of the parks so that you can enhance each visit by knowing where to find points of interest, amenities like food, restrooms and shopping, and other things to do while you’re enjoying your stay in the park.
With the app’s self-guided tour function, you’ll be able discover places to go in the park and things to do once you arrive. In addition, you’ll be able to get news and alerts sent straight to your phone for all the parks or you can select the parks you want to receive updates for.

Find top-rated RV parks near you with this handy app that ranks campgrounds around you and compiles them into a list. The app also allows you to find over 40,000 RV parks, campgrounds, rest areas, gas stations and stores. Additionally, it will show you RV-friendly stores and stops so that you can take the stress out of navigating with your rig.

It’s loaded up with cell coverage maps so that you can see where other campers have reported good service with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Within this app, you can also find overlays of the National Park Service, National Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Arizona State Trust Land so that you can discover new places to camp and hike.

RV Life also has a built-in question and answer platform where you can ask questions about certain campgrounds and immediately get responses from RVers who have already stayed there.

If you’re a fan of KOA campgrounds, this app is for you. KOA is one of the best RV camping apps. You can find and book any KOA campground throughout the U.S. based on search criteria like your location or nearby attractions. The KOA app conveniently integrates with the GPS app of your choice so you can easily get directions to the campsite you’re looking for.
You can also keep an eye on your KOA Rewards information so that it’s handy whenever you need it for booking. This app will also send you notifications about events at your favorite campgrounds and alerts to warn you about weather emergencies and road closures from campgrounds where you have reservations.

This is an all-inclusive app that provides directions to over 12,500 campgrounds across the U.S. and delivers a detailed results page with photos and website links when you search for campgrounds by a variety of criteria.
As a member, you’ll also have access to over 2,100 Good Sam Parks, which means you get a 10% discount during your stay. If you like or dislike something specific about a campsite where you stayed, you can use the My Park Notes feature to jot down your thoughts and refer back to them for future stays.
